Air Conditioned Supper Club in Venice
September 20, 2009
hahah! so, check it, this was a funny story 🙂
turns out we were suppose to play this venue the week BEFORE we actually showed up! hahah oh snaps! there we are, with our L.A. posse in tow, all on-time and ready to go, when we are informed by management that the whole place has been waiting on us since LAST week, everyone excited and rarin’ to kop some peaceofmind! hahah whoops! right time wrong day! damn. boy did i feel a fool, but, as it turns out, a miscommunication was to blame for the mix-up, and luckily, everything ended up working out that night for the best! another band had cancelled, so we got to fill their slot! sweeet. slot-filling peaceofmind mmmmmm…
anyhow, as we soon found out, sunday nights in venice are not very poppin’. there were no more than about 17 people through the entire night, with our crew comprising like 9 of those. hahaha, but hot damn, t’was still all good! 9 is a great number, ‘specially when paired with a 6 😉 haha, hi-o!! watch out now!
check also, the venue was super plush, and the stage and P.A. slammin’! plus! this was the first night we ever experienced stage blindness! haha hot damn, it’s wild! all them crazy-ass wild-style flashing lights that, when you’re in the audience, make everything on stage look super fresh n’ dope, but when on the stage, tend to cause major retard blindness and induce epileptic seizures!! but i digress. the point is this.
even though the show was not near as-packed as our previous shows, it was still mos’ definitely a great learning experience and a very cool night of rocking out for our 4 friends, all of whom said that they really enjoyed our performance. yay! 🙂 good stuff. cos truth be told, it really is all about rockin’ them shows regardless of if there be 1 head out in the crowd or 1 million. and that’s the truth right there y’all.
hahah, once again, hoping all the best fo’ all ya pom heads out there! take care and God bless fam!
peace & love!
